Visit the Spaceplace at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. An EO-1 activity appropriate for kids 6-12 years of age has been added. It illustrates some basic concepts about the EO-1 Mission.

Kids of all ages, after learning a bit about EO-1, unleash your imagination and your crayons, paints or computer on some EO-1 space art. We would love to see it. Email your EO-1 art to our webmaster We will get the best of it on this site.

Below are some sites that will help build an understanding of the basic concepts behind land imaging remote sensing which EO-1 will perform once launched.
  1. IMAGERS is a grade school level site with information for students and teachers about remote sensing.

  2. NASA's Ames Aerospace Encounter, created for fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students, is a unique, interactive program designed to stir young people's imaginations and fuel their enthusiasm for science, mathematics, and technology.

  3. NASA's Education Program Web Site.

  4. The Advanced Remote Sensing and Interpretation and Analysis Tutorial is an excellent detailed tutorial in remote sensing theory, applications, interpretation, and analysis.

  5. Earth Science Educator has lots of links to excellent Earth and Space Science educational resources.

  6. The following are links to other World Wide Web sites containing information on hyperspectral and multispectral sensors, algorithms, and data processing applications.
